Where networks are heading

There are not many large local networks in Georgia but those that exist now face new challenges. A much more flexible type of management is required, in particular the ability to control those sites that are scattered across different cities.

Several sites — one system

The ability to control everything with one system is important because having different systems in different cities adds unnecessary complexity to what is already a complicated process. For example, Simphony or OPERA can connect hotel and catering facilities to a single database, providing efficient control and accounting in a single location. In this environment menus and promotions need only be modified once, these changes will then be instantly applied to all (or selected) facilities within the chain.

Information needs to be consolidated in one place so that the owner or manager can monitor the network operation or each facility individually, be that income and expenses, level of visitors, or many other parameters. OPERA PMS allows hotels in a chain to use Cross Reservation to book rooms with each otherand offer their guests the ability to continue their travels in a hotel of the same chain. This feature has many advantages and is a way to increase the profitability of a chain without much effort.

Savings on hardware

It is important to consider that previously networks had to purchase special equipment for each of their facilities, but now just a single central server is required, to which each hotel or restaurant is connected.

This significantly reduces IT infrastructure costs, and with Simphony Cloud and OPERA Cloud offering data hosting, no hardware is required at all. Additionally, with cloud-based systems, there is no need to keep track of upgrades because they are updated automatically.

Analytics for the network

The analytics in our systems allow you to see the big picture of your network. Each object is analyzed individually; the system provides all the necessary data and calculates it for the company, which can then be displayed in charts, graphs, or just raw numbers.

In Georgia, projects that were frozen during the pandemic are now starting to re-open. Our customers are proving to be very creative and are already preparing for the post-covid environment. We expect that the next two years will be a period of final adjustment to the new conditions. Covid will not disappear, but we will finally learn to live with it and look positively into the future.
